New Year 1405 Message of Congratulations from the Democratic People’s Party of Afghanistan – New Standard-Bearers

Comrades, colleagues, and all the toiling people of our homeland!

The Democratic People’s Party of Afghanistan extends its congratulations on the arrival of the New Year 1405 to all the workers, peasants, progressive intellectuals, struggling women, idealistic youth, and all the toiling masses of our homeland.

For the people of Afghanistan, the year 1404 was a year filled with endless suffering, hardship, unemployment, insecurity, and deprivation of the most basic human and social rights. While one-third of the people of Afghanistan are struggling with hunger and the women of this land have been imprisoned in their homes, the current rulers have not only taken no action to improve these conditions, but through their backward and anti-people policies, they have driven the homeland further toward isolation and economic collapse.

The Democratic People’s Party of Afghanistan, as the genuine representative of the ideals of justice and the voice of the voiceless, once again declares that the only path to saving Afghanistan is a return to the path of social justice, the struggle against despotism and backwardness, and the guarantee of equal rights for all citizens, particularly women and girls.

In the year 1405, we reaffirm our commitment to continuing our struggle along the following lines:

1. Struggle for Bread and Freedom:
Eliminating poverty and hunger from the tables of the people is our first priority. We support every measure aimed at securing the livelihoods of workers and employees, and we will struggle against hoarding and the misuse of national resources.

2. Justice for Women:
Depriving women of their right to education, work, and social participation is an unforgivable crime. The Democratic People’s Party of Afghanistan considers the struggle for the restoration of equal rights for women one of the red lines of its struggle.

3. National Unity and Territorial Integrity:
We believe that Afghanistan belongs to all ethnic groups, religions, and social strata. We condemn all divisive policies and call for the establishment of a structure based on equality and the participation of all.

4. Establishment of a Democratic and Just System:
The solution to Afghanistan’s crises lies in inclusive dialogue, ending monopolistic tendencies, and establishing a political system that emerges from the will of the people.

The path to liberation is a difficult path, filled with sacrifice. But history has taught us that the people of Afghanistan have never bowed their heads under the yoke of despotism and backwardness. Relying on the immense power of the people, with hope for a bright future and inspired by the ideals of justice, we will continue along the honorable path of struggle.

We extend our New Year greetings to all the toiling people of this land and hope that the year 1405 will be a year of great victories for the oppressed people of Afghanistan.
