Statement of the New Flagbearers of the People’s Democratic Party of Afghanistan on the 107th Anniversary of the Restoration of Independence from British Colonialism

On the occasion of the 107th anniversary of the restoration of Afghanistan's independence against British colonialism, the leadership of the New Flagbearers of the People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan extends its warmest congratulations and best wishes to the militant, freedom-loving, and toiling people of Afghanistan.

The glorious independence of Afghanistan is the culmination of prolonged struggles and immense sacrifices made by the toiling masses of this land. We regard this historic day as a profound tribute to all freedom fighters, combatants, and martyrs who stood unflinchingly for the liberty, independence, and national sovereignty of the homeland, offering their very lives in the sacred path of freedom.

From our principled standpoint, political independence attains its true and complete meaning only when it is inextricably linked with economic independence, social justice, the liberation of the working masses from all forms of exploitation, and the sacred right of self-determination. Afghanistan can achieve genuine and unfettered independence only when its natural resources and national wealth serve the direct interests of the people, and when the destiny of the nation is forged solely by the hands of its own citizens.

Reaffirming its commitment to this historic milestone, the New Flagbearers of the People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan reiterate their steadfast resolve to fight relentlessly for freedom, independence, social progress, social justice, and the total emancipation of the Afghan people from any form of foreign hegemony and imperialist exploitation.

Independence, Freedom, and Social Justice are the absolute and undeniable rights of the people of Afghanistan.
