A Cry for Liberation and Renewal: From the Darkness of Despotism Toward a New Afghanistan Published: 2026-10-04 Author / editor: Hassanpour Today we stand at a moment in the bloodstained and painful history of our beloved homeland, Afghanistan, when silence means accepting the gradual death of identity, freedom, and human dignity. As children of this soil and pioneers of our party’s new movement, we consider it our historic duty to portray plainly, directly, and forcefully the stark realities of the country’s political and social condition, and to chart a way out of this dark deadlock. An Analysis of the Political and Social Condition: The Catastrophe of Despotism and the Freezing of Thought Today’s Afghan society is caught in the dark grip of reaction, ignorance, and absolute despotism. By imposing a harsh, regressive, and inhuman interpretation, the current rulers have not only stripped citizens of their fundamental rights, but have also reduced the vital foundations of the economy, education, culture, and politics to ruins. Social paralysis: The women and girls of this land—half of society—have been entirely excluded from public life. Depriving the younger generation of knowledge, science, and art is an unforgivable betrayal of this country’s future. A crisis of political legitimacy: The structure of power is built on monopoly, extreme ethnic chauvinism, and comprehensive repression. There is no sign of national will, the rule of law, or public participation in this system, and the people’s demands for justice are silenced at their very inception. The Historical Roots of Decline: How Did We Reach This Point? The present catastrophe is not the result of a day or two. This crisis is the product of years of an entrenched culture of submission to despotism, destructive foreign interference, and the political elite’s neglect of fundamental intellectual transformation within society. Until old tribal relations, decaying anti-rational traditions, and closed ways of thinking give way to progressive ideas, the vicious cycle of collapse and crisis will repeat itself. Confronting this situation requires deep surgery in society’s intellectual and political structures. The Need for a Renewal-Oriented and Revolutionary Struggle In the face of this unjust order and deadly intellectual paralysis, superficial and capitulationist reformism is bound to fail. As pioneers of national awakening, we urgently need a renewal-oriented and revolutionary struggle. This struggle has three essential pillars: A revolution in thought and culture (modernization): The struggle against superstition, ignorance, and rigid interpretations of religion and tradition is a prerequisite for any lasting change. The pursuit of renewal means a deep connection with the achievements of modern science, human rights, gender equality, and democratic values. Organized and radical resistance (revolutionary action): Standing against the ruling despotism requires strong organizations, careful planning, an iron will, and sustained struggle. No freedom has ever been won without a price and without the determined will of an awakened people. Mobilizing national will: Moving beyond narrow ethnic, regional, and linguistic divisions and building a united national and popular front to save Afghanistan from ruin. Concluding Words: Taking a Step Toward a Brighter Tomorrow Today, establishing our party’s website is the first verbal shot in the struggle against ignorance and despotism. We believe in this land, in its suffering people, and in a free and strong future. Let this article be a covenant between us and all freedom-seekers in Afghanistan—a covenant to stand firm, struggle tirelessly, and build a new, civilized, free, and flourishing Afghanistan. The road is difficult, but our will is stronger than solid rock. Victory belongs to the determined!
